There are five games on the ice on Monday and we’ve got our NHL picks locked and loaded for three of them. Here are our favorite three games of the night along with the previews and predictions.

Edmonton Oilers vs. New Jersey Devils
NHL Odds: Devils -180
The Devils are a big favorite in this spot as the lousy Oilers visit. It’s surprising that New Jersey isn’t laying more here as they’ve been playing well of late. They’ve won five of six and this is about as good as they have been all season long.

I’m going to play an under in this spot as the Devils defense and goaltending has been keying this hot stretch. Goaltender Cory Schneider is 4-0-1 with a 1.37 GAA in his last five outings and has a .944 save percentage in 2015. He plays especially well against the Oilers, going 4-1-0 with a .951 save percentage in his last meetings. The Oilers score just 2.15 goals per game on the road, so Schneider’s job should be made much easier. I’ll take the under with my NHL pick here.

NHL Pick: Under 5 at Bodog

Arizona Coyotes vs. Chicago Blackhawks
NHL Odds: Blackhawks -295
The Blackhawks are obviously laying a huge number in this spot, which is not something I’m interested in but the puck line could be a play. Chicago seems to be over their recent slump as they’ve won two straight. More importantly, they’re back at home after a long seven-game road trip that started in the Eastern Time Zone, then flew through the West, then came back to the East.

The Blackhawks are a very respectable 16-7-1 at home and on Monday, they’ll host a Coyotes team that is just 10-17 on the road. Overall, they have dropped 10 of 13.

Why I like Chicago here is they’ll be facing a Coyotes team that is having all sorts of problems in net. They give up 3.30 goals per game on the road, which is the fifth-most. They have no problem scoring in this series as they’ve scored at least five goals in five of the last seven matchups. It’s no surprise that they’ve won five of those games. Coyotes goaltender Mike Smith has a 4.16 GAA against the Blackhawks in his last seven starts against them.

That being the case, lay the puckline with a NHL pick on the Blackhawks.

NHL Pick: Blackhawks -1.5 +103 at Pinnacle

Vancouver Canucks vs. Minnesota Wild
NHL Odds: Wild -140
The Wild have won five straight games and the reason for it has been the red-hot play of goaltender Devan Dubnyk. He’s been out of his mind lately as he’s posted back-to-back shutouts and has allowed just three goals in his last five games. Overall, he’s 7-1-0 with a 1.31 GAA since the Wild acquired him.

The Canucks also have a solid goaltender in Ryan Miller, who is coming off a shutout performance of his own. On the season, the Canucks allow 2.60 goals per game on the road, which is the ninth-lowest number.

The under has cashed in six of the Wild’s last eight games and with two good goaltenders in this matchup and two so-so offenses, I’ll go under the NHL odds number.

NHL Pick: Under 5 at The Greek
