We have all the picks, previews & predictions on the two NHL Thanksgiving Day match-ups. Find out which ones we believe will leave you with the best outcome for this Black Friday!

Vancouver Canucks vs. Ottawa Senators

The Ottawa Senators have been all offense and no defense lately. Ottawa has allowed 4 or more goals in 5 of their last 6, and 6 of their last 8-games. The Senators have gone over the total in 4 of their last 5-games with an average combined 7.0 goals per game scored. The Senators are 25th in the league allowing an average of 3.1 goals per game, and 28th in the NHL allowing 35.7 shots on goal per game. Ottawa is 7th in the NHL averaging 3.0 goals per game scored.

Playing under the total in Vancouver Canucks home games has been extremely profitable so far this season. Vancouver has gone over the total in just 2 of their first 13 home games. However, on the road you would be just 5-5 when playing their totals. NHL betting odds posts this total at 5.5 tonight. Considering the opponent tonight, and the style in which this game is likely to be played, my lean here is toward a high scoring affair.

NHL Pick: Ottawa/Vancouver to go over the total of 5.5

Edmonton Oilers vs. Nashville Predators

You can make the case that the Edmonton Oilers have been one of the most underachieving teams in the NHL this season. The Oilers have won just 7 of their first 25-games. They were building a bit of momentum recently with a 3-game win streak. However, that streak was snapped in their last game with a 5-1 home loss to Chicago. Edmonton is next to last in the NHL allowing a lofty 3.5 goals per game. Struggling on the road has been nothing new to the Oilers. They’re 42-102 in their last 144 away games, including 27-78 in the last 105 versus an opponent with a winning home record.

The Nashville Predators enter tonight having won 5 of their last 6 overall. In that recent 6-game stretch they outscored their opponents by a combined 21-8. The Predators have defeated the Oilers in 11 of their last 15 home games. This will be the first of a 4-game in 8-day home stand for the Predators. They’ve earned 13 of 20-points possible at home this season. According to NHL betting odds the Predators are a -140 money line home favorite. My lean goes to the home side in this spot for my NHL picks.

NHL Pick: Nashville -140 over Edmonton
