Our professional NHL handicapper shares his three top NHL picks on Saturday’s mammoth card. Go inside to get those selections and find out exactly why he opted for them.

Washington Capitals vs. Toronto Maple Leafs 7:05 PM ET
Braden Holtby of Washington and Toronto’s James Reimer are the expected starting goaltenders in Saturday’s game. Both goalies have been red-hot. Reimer has posted a superb .955 save percentage during his previous four starts. He also has a stellar .934 save percentage in his fourteen overall starts this season. Braden Holtby has compiled an outstanding .933 save percentage in his last four starts, and his .925 save percentage in eighteen starts this season has been instrumental in Washington’s success.

Washington is coming off two consecutive home wins over Winnipeg 5-3 and 4-2 against Tampa Bay. Those two wins improved the Capitals season win percentage to .727. Any road team (Washington) coming off two home wins in a row, and each of those came by 2 goals or more, and they possess a winning percentage of .700 or better, resulted in those games going 56-20 (73.7%) under the total since 1996. That NHL handicapping algorithm makes plenty of sense to me, and with all being considered, this will be one of my NHL picks on Saturday.

NHL Pick: Under 5.5 (-113) at Pinnacle

Ottawa Senators vs. Arizona Coyotes 10:05 PM ET
I fully expect Craig Anderson to be in goal for Ottawa on Saturday. Anderson has been outstanding in his last four starts, compiling a terrific .950 save percentage in those outings, and posting two shutouts. In their only meeting (10/24) against Arizona this season, the Senators sustained a 4-1 home loss. Ottawa has gone 9-1 under the total on the road during the past two seasons when playing with same season revenge.

Arizona is coming off a 2-1 overtime home win against Calgary last night. Any home team with a total of 5.5, playing with no rest, and is coming off a home win, resulted in those games going 81-32 (71.7%) under the total since 1997.

Current NHL odds provide me with a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.

NHL Pick: Under 5.5 (-115) at Heritage

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Los Angeles Kings 10:35 PM ET
This will be a battle of two road weary teams. Chicago will be playing the finale of a six game in eleven day road trip on Saturday. Los Angeles returns home for the first time since embarking on a five game road trip.

Any home team (Kings) coming off three or more road games in a row, versus an opponent (Chicago) coming off four or more road games in a row, resulted in those games going 104-56 (65.0%) under the total since 1997.

NHL Pick: Under 5 (-105) at 5Dimes
