There are just five games on the radar in the NHL on Sunday and we’ve got them all covered for you. Catch three of them here to spice up your NHL picks.

Record: 104-110 (+81)

Los Angeles Kings at Dallas Stars

The Kings blew a late lead in Minnesota on Friday night and coughed up a win, and now will fly to Dallas in a quick turnaround. I think the Kings are the better team here but the circumstances lend themselves to a small sprinkle on the Stars.

The Kings are not only in a back-to-back but it’s their third game in four nights – all on the road. The Stars have already topped the Kings twice this season, outscoring them by a count of 7-2, so they know how to get the job done. As a home dog on the NHL odds, they are worth a play.

Anaheim Ducks at Columbus Blue Jackets

This is a bit of an odds spot for some NHL picks as I’m not interested in laying juice with the Ducks on the road since they’ve won just once in their last five. Meanwhile, Columbus as a home dog isn’t a great investment either because the Blue Jackets have just one win in their last four.

Instead, I’ll take the under in this spot. Sergei Bobrovsky has been excellent in net for the Blue Jackets – for the most part – and he should be sharp after getting the night off on Friday. The Ducks have scored just seven goals in their last five games and the Blue Jackets have scored the fourth-fewest goals in the NHL this season. I’ll take the under for this hockey pick.

Boston Bruins at Buffalo Sabres

The Bruins burned us on Saturday when they flopped in Philadelphia as a road favorite, so naturally I’ll be wary to bet them as a road dog in a back-to-back situation on Sunday. However, the Sabres are complete trash as they’ve now lost three straight and nine of 13.

These teams produce fairly unpredictable results as Buffalo has won 7-4 and 4-2 but also lost 3-1. So we’ve seen a pair of overs, a pair of blowouts and a low-scoring affair. I think the back-to-back lends itself to a higher-scoring affair. It’s a game I’d rather not bet but forced to play, my recommendation would be to take a flier with the over.
