Can the Dallas Stars continue their offensive surge in an effort to lock up the Central Division? Join us as we take a look at the MLB Odds and betting preview for this exciting game.

The Dallas Stars look to capture their first division title in 10 seasons which would bring home ice advantage throughout the Western Conference playoffs.

Dallas is on a 8-2 stretch that has seen them outscore their opponent 35-20.  We are going to condense it down to the first period because I feel you're getting the most value from a game that should be around 5-6 goals.

Watch Jamie Benn tonight who has five goals during a five game winning streak and nine goals with eight assist over his last 15 games. He also has six goals and four assist in his last five games against Nashville.

Jason Spezza is expected back in the line-up for Dallas. Spezza is their third leading scorer with 60 points has been out with an undisclosed illness. He brings a two goals with two assist streak in his last three games against Nashville into this one.

Their last match-up produced seven goals on March 29th.  We are betting on a repeat performance early before the game settles down. Benn had two goals in that game.

Nashville should do their part offensively after two impressive game against Arizona and Colorado scoring a total of seven goals in the two wins. It won't be easy against the Stars who have killed off 46 of their last 48. Webber did get a power play goal in their march 1st meeting, a 5-3 victory. The Predators advantage with the extra attacker has potent all season especially on the road where the Preds are ranked 12th at 19%. It is important to note the Predators intend to sit their big guns today including Shea Webber, Mike Ribeiro, and Roman Josi.  Before we view this as offensive firepower being left out of the lineup lets look at it differently.  I like to back 'overs' as my NHL Picks when a teams top players are out because guys that are playing out of place or just called up from the minors have a tendency to turn the puck over or make bad passes because of their unfamiliar territory thus creating scoring opportunities.

Filip Forsberg has a goal and an assist in each of his last two games leaving him one goal shy of setting the teams single season mark for goals in a season with Jason Arnott.  Each has 33 goals.

Carter Hutton will start in goal for the Predators.  Hutton is 7-4-1 on the season has been incredibly inconsistent.  He will not be a netminder that will win a game on his own which leaves me to question how effective he will be against a quality offensive team.

From a trend perspective the 'over' is 12-3-4 in Nashville's last 19 games which can help us with our 1st period play. Dallas has been an 'over' machine with 21 of their last 31 games cashing 'over' tickets.

We are backing the 'over' 1.5 at -105 on the NHL Odds board, which allows you some value as it opened at -115 at YouWager.
