Bouncing Back from an Embarrassment
The Nashville Predators were off to a very encouraging start to the season considering they failed to qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs a season ago. Then they suffered a humiliating 6-1 home loss last Saturday at the hands of the St. Louis Blues. Losing to a very good Blues team is nothing to be ashamed of. However, the manner in which the loss occurred especially coming at home was a bit of a humbling experience for the Predators. Nashville finds themselves in 5th place in the Central Division just 2-points behind the Minnesota Wild. The Predators will start Carter Hutton in goal tonight. Hutton has take over for the injured Pekka Rinne who will be out at least the next 4 weeks after undergoing hip surgery.

Dressed as a Coyote on Halloween
Home ice has been very good to the Phoenix Coyotes to start the season as they’ve won 5 of their first 6 at the Jobing.com Arena. Mike Smith is scheduled to be in goal for the Coyotes this evening. Smith has been a bit erratic to start the season posting a lofty 2.97 GAA in 11 starts. In his last 3 starts Smith has stopped 78 of 87 shots on goal for a below average .897 save percentage.
NHL Super Angle
