Anaheim Ducks @ Boston Bruins
The Ducks continue their torrid pace as they find themselves on a three-game winning streak entering Thursday. They’ve now won 10 of their 13 games so far this season and their only three losses have come on the road, which means that this team has been one of the most profitable to date.
Thursday seems like a good spot to take a shot with them as they are a +125 dog in Boston. The Bruins had to play a rivalry game on Wednesday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins, which means that they might not get up for this game after exerting so much emotional energy last night. I’ll add the Ducks to my NHL picks in this spot.

Buffalo Sabres @ New York Rangers
We see a total of five in this game and considering it’s a matchup of two of the lowest-scoring teams in the NHL. Even so, I still like the under. The Rangers are playing their second home game of the season after getting shutout in their home-opener by the Montreal Canadiens. I expect them to come out sharp and take it to the Sabres, who can’t buy a win these days.
Would I lay the -190 betting odds with the Rangers in this game? No way. As bad as the Sabres have been (2-11-1), the Rangers haven’t been much better as they’ve lost six of nine. Take the under with your sports picks instead.

Nashville Predators @ Phoenix Coyotes
I think there’s a bit of a mistake on the NHL odds in this game. Traditionally (over the last few seasons), these have been two under teams. However, the Preds are without their top goaltender Pekka Rinne right now while the Coyotes have been playing a ton of overs. The Coyotes have gone over in four of their last five. Their offense is the main difference as they’ve scored the fourth-most goals in the NHL. I see some value with a five instead of 5.5. That’s why I’ll take the over in this one.
