Our NHL betting professional predicts who will win all four Conference Semifinals series and in exactly how many games. Do you think he can call all of them correctly?

Stanley Cup Playoffs Series Betting
I’m going to be making some wagers on the four teams I like to reach each Conference Final, and specifically how many games it will take them to win their current series. I’ll be using the NHL odds at Ladbrokes as a common reference point for this specific topic. These odds will reflect the ones posted as of Monday +250.

Sharks in a Sweep
San Jose has won the first two games of their Western Conference Semifinal series on home ice against Nashville. The series now shifts back to Nashville, and that’s where the Predators were 1-2 in their opening round 4-3 win over Anaheim. As a matter of fact, Nashville is a rather uninspiring 24-20 overall at home. Contrarily, San Jose has been the best road team in the NHL this season, going a superb 31-13 in away games thus far, and that includes 3-0 during these 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. It’s extremely hard to ignore that stellar road record when making my NHL picks.

Pick: Sharks at +280 odds to win in 4 games.

Blues in Six
The Stars and Blues Western Conference Semifinals series heads back to St. Louis all knotted up at one game apiece. After squandering a 3-1 third period lead in Game 2, St. Louis was able to escape with a 4-3 overtime win. It’s doesn’t take a rocket scientist to surmise there’s a big difference between heading back home for Game 3 tied at 1-1 as opposed to down 2-0.

Although Dallas possesses a plethora of offensive firepower, ultimately I believe their inconsistent goaltending tandem of Kari Lehtonen and Antti Niemi will cost them dearly. On the other hand, Brian Elliott has been superb during the postseason, and has a confident club playing in front of him. St. Louis won all three regular season games at home versus Dallas.

Pick: St. Louis at +300 odds to win in 6 games.

Islanders in Seven
This series has all the earmarks of a seven game thriller. Eventually the losses of superstar forward Steven Stamkos, grinder J.T. Brown, and talented defensemen Anton Stralman will catch up with Tampa Bay. This will become quite apparent during the latter stages of this series. The Islanders return home to the Barclays Center for Game 3 coming off of a split in Tampa Bay, and they’re gone a rock solid 27-17 at home. New York has also gone 2-2 in games played in Tampa since the 2015-2016 NHL campaign convened.

Pick: New York Islanders at +450 odds to win in 7 games.

Caps it off in Seven Grueling Games
I’m not sure if the two odds on favorites to win the Stanley Cup have ever met at this early of a stage of the playoffs. If it has occurred, then consider it a real rarity. However, that’s the case regarding this encounter between Pittsburgh and Washington. Washington won the President’s Trophy for amassing the most regular season points. Conversely, Pittsburgh was hands down the hottest team heading into these Stanley Cup Playoffs. Obviously something has to give. I’m very confident this series will extend to its entirety, and Washington goaltender Braden Holtby will be the difference in Game 7.

Pick: Washington at +350 odds to win in 7 games.
