Friday is a quiet day in the NHL with just four games on the card. We’ve got the night covered for you with three games previewed for you below as well as an individual preview of the Anaheim-Colorado game in its own article.

San Jose Sharks vs. Buffalo Sabres

The Sharks are clearly the better team here as Buffalo is the worst team in the East while the Sharks are 38 points better than them in the standings. However, you can’t really trust the Sharks on the road as they are a mediocre away team. Case and point: they lost to both Calgary and Edmonton on the road before the Olympic break.

Instead, I’ll go with the under in this game as nine of the last 10 Sabres games have not seen more than five goals.

Pick: Under 5 at BetOnline

Minnesota Wild vs. Vancouver Canucks

I have no interest in taking either of these sides with my NHL picks as the Canucks have been a mess while the Wild are dealing with key injuries. Instead, I’ll look to the under as both teams don’t go over too frequently. For the Wild, nine of their last 12 games have seen five goals or less while Vancouver has scored a total of four goals in their last five games. There’s no way I’m laying -150 with the Canucks. They have the better shot to win but this line is too much. Instead, I’ll take the under.

Pick: Under 5 at Bodog

St. Louis Blues vs. Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks look like they’re worth a look for your NHL picks here as they tend to play well when facing goaltender Jaroslav Halak. He’s dropped three straight starts against them while posting a 4.75 GAA over that span. They’re the best team in the NHL, they are tough to beat at home and you don’t have to pay much for them on the NHL odds.

Pick: Ducks -115 at Bookmaker
