NHL Betting: Friday Picks
Now we’ll do our daily look at the NHL odds and make some predictions featuring a couple of those games.
Record: 63-70 (-453)
Minnesota Wild at Anaheim Ducks
The Minnesota Wild and Anaheim Ducks square off on Friday night in a tricky game to handicap. On one hand, the Ducks have been awesome all season long and are 7-1-0 at home this season. However, they are laying about -165, which is a noticeable amount of juice, and the Wild come into this game having won four of five.
The total is a tricky one to play here as we are faced with a five and the first notion is to take the under. However, the Ducks haven’t played a game in which there was less than five goals in eight straight games.
I’m going to take a shot with the Ducks on the puck line. The Wild will be in a back-to-back situation on the road and a third game in four nights, so to avoid the juice, I’ll laying the 1.5 and hope the Ducks cover the spread.

Columbus Blue Jackets at Chicago Blackhawks
Who is up for some freshly squeezed, 100%, pulp-free juice? That’s what you’re going to be drinking if you like the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night at a whopping -300. The Blackhawks could be the biggest favorite of the season so far.
This is a matchup of the worst team in the NHL against the best, so it’s easy to understand why the line is where it is. However, I’m not laying that. The puck line at -104 is worth consideration but you might want to keep in mind that the two teams have squared off twice this season – including earlier this week – and the Blackhawks have won by exactly a goal each time.
I think the under is the way to go here for our NHL picks. The Blue Jackets just aren’t scoring much these days and the Blackhawks have gone over 5.5 just once in their last eight games.
