We’ve separated off the Minnesota Wild-Dallas Stars game in its own preview, so here we’ve got the other three games covered with free NHL picks.

NHL Betting: Friday Hockey Picks

The Friday card is a light one in the NHL with just four games on the schedule.

Record: 101-106 (+195)

New Jersey Devils at Tampa Bay Lightning

The Lightning are coming off a good performance against Buffalo but I’m still a bit skeptical. The Devils seem enticing as a road dog on the NHL odds.

Tampa Bay is just 9-8 at home this season and they’ve lost eight of the last nine home meetings with New Jersey. Martin Brodeur is healthy for the Devils and he’s 7-1-2 with a 1.68 GAA in his last 10 starts. I’ll take a shot with the Devils on the road.

NHL Pick: Devils +106 at Pinnacle

Anaheim Ducks at Chicago Blackhawks

I know the Ducks are struggling right now but much of it has to do with a busy schedule. They’ve lost four straight but all of those games came within six days. They’ve had a chance to catch their breath since Wednesday and are worth a look with your NHL picks on Friday.

The Blackhawks are also struggling and will be without Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa. They are just 1-2-0 since they lost Hossa to injury.

It’s not a play that I love but these are two evenly matched teams. On top of that, the Ducks have had lots of success against Chicago this year and will be going for the series sweep on Friday. They are worth a small play for your NHL picks.

Columbus Blue Jackets at Calgary Flames

The Blue Jackets are slowly slipping as they’ve now lost three straight. They let Thursday’s game in Edmonton get away from them and now have a quick turnaround in Calgary on Friday night. It’s also the Blue Jackets third road game in four nights.

The Flames have won eight straight at home but they might be a tad deflated after trading away captain Jarome Iginla. He was the team leader and heart and soul player. He spent the last 18 years with the franchise.

They don’t have a line out yet but my lean would be with Calgary. We’ll probably have to lay some juice but as long as it isn’t higher than -130, I’m onboard.

NHL Pick: Flames at Bodog
