It’s been a wild couple of days in the NHL with the dust settling after the trade deadline. Friday’s card features six matchups and we’ve singled out three of them for our daily picks:

NHL Betting: Friday Picks

Record: 111-120 (-106)

Columbus Blue Jackets at St. Louis Blues

The Blue Jackets and Blues both played last night and earned quality road wins. The Blue Jackets took down Nashville 3-1 while the Blues upended Chicago 4-3 in a shootout.

The Blues dominate this series as they’ve won nine of the last 11 meetings and 14 of the last 17 times they’ve played host. Initial reactions might be to take the under but the over is 7-3 in Blues home games where the total is set at five. Also, four of the last five meetings in St. Louis – and seven of the last 11 meetings overall – have gone over.

NHL Pick: Over 5 at Bodog for your NHL picks.

Dallas Stars at Anaheim Ducks

The Dallas Stars have been whooped by the Anaheim Ducks two straight times and I’m looking for a similar result on Friday.

The Stars have now lost three straight while scoring four goals in the process. They’ve also lost nine of their last 13.

The Ducks have outscored the Stars 9-2 in the first two meetings this week, so I’m comfortable laying the puck line with Anaheim.

NHL Pick: Ducks -1.5 at BetOnline +150

Calgary Flames at San Jose Sharks

I’m in full bet-against Calgary mode with my NHL picks as they continue to nosedive. They are now just two points away from being the worst team in the NHL.

The Flames have lost three straight and seven of nine. They have absolutely no identity with key veterans being traded away and a murky situation in net. Each of the Flames last six losses have come by at least two goals, so I’m comfortable avoiding the juice on the NHL odds and taking the Sharks on the puck line in this spot.

NHL Pick: Sharks -1.5 +119 at Pinnacle
