There are eight games on the NHL card on Monday and we’ll have five of them covered for you.

We’ve got individual previews of the Senators-Bruins game as well as the Sharks-Coyotes. Beyond that, we’ve got our three daily NHL picks below, so have a read through before you lock-in your picks at your sportsbook.

Check out our Daily NHL Betting Odds Report.

Record: 123-142 (-1223)

New Jersey Devils vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

The New Jersey Devils are in shambles as they have lost nine straight. On Monday, they will try to end that streak against a team they haven’t had much success against in recent meetings.

The Maple Leafs are 11-2-5 in the last 17 meetings between the teams and 3-0-2 in the last five. For bettors, that’s really just 11-7 and 3-2, but it still shows that Toronto has the upper hand. When you add that in with the fact that the Devils are struggling and the Leafs are hot, and that leads me to believe the Leafs are worth the investment on the NHL odds.

NHL Pick: Maple Leafs -1.5 +206 at Pinnacle

Dallas Stars vs. Chicago Blackhawks

5.5 goals seems too tall of a total given how well the Blackhawks have been playing in their own end recently. Chicago has won five straight and has allowed just five goals in that span while shutting out their opponent three times. They’ve faced Dallas twice this season and allowed just three goals in the process.

Dallas has also won five straight and much of that is because of defense too. They have permitted two goals or less in four of those five contests.

Given how well both teams are playing at the defensive end, I’ll take the under.

NHL Pick: Under 5.5 at Bovada

Vancouver Canucks vs. Nashville Predators

Nashville has virtually stopped scoring, so unders appear the way to go in their games. They have lost six straight and nine of 10. In those nine losses, they have totaled 12 goals while being shut out four times. Their last nine games have seen an average of 3.78 goals per game.

Vancouver’s goaltenders have played well over the last month or so, which means another under is in sight here.

NHL Pick: Under 5 at Bwin
