Montreal Canadians (14-11) @ Washington Capitals (12-13)

According to NHL betting odds Washington is a -115 money line home favorite and the total is 5.5. These two clubs have seen just 3 of their last 17 meetings go over the total. The road team has won the last 4-games in this series. Washington has gone 8-2 in their last 10-games versus Montreal.

This will be the Canadians 2nd trip to the Verizon Center in the last 8 days to face the Capitals. In the previous meeting last Thursday, Montreal came away with a 3-2 win. The Capitals will enter today’s game looking to break a 4-game losing streak. This will be just their 2nd game in the last 6-days. The last time they took the ice they were a 6-4 home loser to the Ottawa Senators. It was the first time in 5-games they went over the total. As good as tonight’s opponent’s power play has been this season, the Capitals have been even better. Washington has converted on 24.5% of their man advantage situations which ranks 3rd in the NHL.
