Bruins Just Keep Rolling

Boston enters tonight having won their last 3 in a row following a 3-0 home shutout of the Washington Capitals on Thursday. Tuukka Rask stopped all 16 Washington shots on goal to earn his 6th shutout of the season. This will be the 1st of a 3-game in 5-day road swing for the Bruins. The Bruins have gone over the total in 12 of their last 15 road games. Boston will play 13 of their final 20 regular season games on the road.

Lightning Losing Streak Needs to End

Tampa Bay enters tonight having lost their last 3 in a row. They come off an embarrassing 3-1 home loss as a -225 money line favorite versus the Buffalo Sabres. Despite outshooting the Sabres 44-21 they couldn't solve Buffalo goaltender Jonas Enroth until less than 2-minutes left in the 3rd period to avoid being shutout. The good news is that it marked the return of star Steven Stamkos to the lineup. Stamkos had been out since early November with a broken leg. Although Stamkos wasn't able to crack the score sheet, he looked very sharp, and had 5 shots on goal. This will be the 2nd of a 6-game in 12-day home stand for the Lightning. They will finish the regular season by playing 13 of their final 20-games at home. The Lightning have gone just 3-7 in their last 10 at home. They've gone under the total in just 14 of their last 56 home games versus an opponent with a winning money line record.
