The Tampa Bay Lightning trail the Florida Panthers by five points in the Atlantic Division but the must not overlook the Arizona Coyotes who have faded out of the playoff picture.

Arizona vs.Tampa Bay
The Lightning offense is starting to wake up along with their power play production. Now they face a Coyotes team who is having a hard time keeping the puck of their net. Tampa has scored 13 times in their last 3 games. Let's do our analysis and check the NHL odds now.

Betting Preview & Analysis
When Tampa General manager, Steve Yzerman, put the Steven Stamkos trade rumors to bed and John Cooper moved Stamkos back to center, the offense seemed to find another gear. Stamkos has now taken the team lead in goals scored. Since early January the Lightning have one of the best record in the league. With a win they would tie Anahiem for the most wins since January 8th. Tampa is 14-5 with a scoring average of 3.21 goals per game--fifth best in the league.

The Lighting also may be getting stronger with the return Nikita Kucherov, who is the teams leading scorer, according to Head Coach John Cooper.

They face the Coyotes who are just 3-7-1 since January 26th while allowing 3.82 goals per game which is worse than everyone except Toronto in that same time.

Arizona has given up powerplay goals in three straight games dropping their penalty kill average to 77.8%, the third worst in the league ahead of Calgary and Ottawa.

Arizona played a great game Monday against the Washington Capitals losing 3-2 to the leagues top team. They appeared to put everything into this game so it's quesionable what they will have left against the Lightning. Arizona had six power play opportunity's but managed only two shots on net.

Since 2002 the Lightning are 12-3-1 against the Yotes, while averaging 4.8 goals per contest over the last six meetings.Tampa outscored Arizona 11-5 last season in two meetings. Arizona Goaltender, Louis Domingue has a .898 save percentage over his last three starts but rookie, Niklas Truetle is possibly going to make his first start. He played 10 minutes in relief of Domingue Saturday making 4 saves allowing no goals.

The problem with new goaltenders is teams tend to not be not as agressive because they want to make sure they can get back to defend as well as they can in front of a new goaltender. When teams have more confidence in their net minder they can bring their defensemen more into the offensive zone.

Tampa Goaltender, Ben Bishop, has a .943 save percentage in hs last two games.

The Coyotes are just 21-54 in their last 75 games after their opponent allows less than two goals in their previous game.  They are also just 13-45 against teams with a winning record. Arizona is just 4-12 in their last 16 meetings against the Bolts.

Tampa is 55-26 in their last 81 games at home.

Just an interesting note on the total.  The 'Under' is 29-13-6 in their last 48 road games against teams with a home winning percentage over.600. Tampa is the better team so that's our NHL pick for tonight
