St. Louis and Nashville will square off on Tuesday in what shapes up to be an intriguing NHL Central Division showdown. We have all the pertinent NHL betting information you need to know on this contest, and that includes a terrific money line betting system that’s gone 67.9% since 1996.

Central Division Showdown in the Music City
The Nashville Predators will host the St. Louis Blues tonight with the opening faceoff slated for 8:05 PM ET. According to the NHL odds at Bookmaker, Nashville is a -145 money line favorite, and the posted total is 5.0. Nashville has won two of their three meetings versus St. Louis this season, and two of those three went over the total. Those results are in stark contrast from what occurred a season ago when the Blues won all five games played between these clubs. Both teams played last night, and each club will be playing their 3rd game in 4-days.

Blues Stop the Bleeding
The St. Louis Blues were able to snap a 4-game losing streak last night with a 4-0 home win over the Colorado Avalanche. Marty Brodeur stopped all 16 shots on goal by the Avalanche last night to earn his 125th career shutout, and his first in a St. Louis Blues uniform. It was just the 4th time in the last 22-games that the Blues stayed under the total. As I already alluded to, the Blues will be playing their 3rd game in 4-days tonight, and they’ve gone 4-1 in the last 5 when cast into that role.

Dominating at Home
The Nashville Predators have gone an outstanding 13-3 against the money line on home ice so far this season. Nashville has seen just 3 of their first 16-games (18.8%) at home go over the total. As a matter of fact, the Predators have gone over the total in only 11 of the first 35-games (18.8%) overall. Nashville is coming off a 5-4 overtime loss last night at Chicago. The Predators have gone a dismal 3-9 against the money line in their last 12-games when playing with no rest.

NHL Money Line Betting System
Both of these teams faced a division opponent in their previous game, and as I pointed out earlier, the Predators are coming off a 1-goal loss. The combination of those factors fits into a profitable betting system which has passed the test of time. I’ll fully utilize this successful money line angle when making one of my NHL picks for Tuesday.

Any home team (Nashville) that’s -100 to -150 on the money line, and is coming off a 1-goal loss versus a division opponent, facing a team coming off coming off a win over a division opponent, has seen the home team go 110-52 (67.9%) since 1996.
