The Western Conference finals between Anaheim & Chicago is living up to its billing. Level 1-1 the pair collide tonight looking to take the pivotal 2-1 lead. Join us as we serve up our NHL picks.

Best Game To Bet On
Arguably, this has to be the best game to bet on today's sports betting card. Two games into this series and there's no telling which side is going to advance into the Stanley Cup finals; so well matched are these two sides.

As it is, the series is level 1-1 after two games in Anaheim. The Ducks emerged winners in the series opener, taking the 2-1 win over the Blackhawks. Game 2..oh boy, oh boy. A record making 3-2 win in triple overtime by the Blackhawks. It was the longest game (116 minutes and 12 seconds) in the almost the 90-year history of these franchises.

Blackhawks Have Momentum
Gaining such a signature win in the best-of-seven series is going to buoy the Blackhawks and send them into tonight's game on a wave of optimism as they look to take the pivotal 2-1 lead over the Ducks at home. Home advantage has earned the Blackhawks the favourable -140 nod on the NHL betting odds board, while the Ducks enter as the nominal +120 underdogs. However, the playing field is level between these two outfits in more ways than one. Not only are they well matched on the ice, but they're also both surely exhausted from the exertion game 2 required.

Ducks Look To Bounce Back
Losing an epic at home has to hurt, especially when they rallied from a two-goal deficit to draw level and send the game into overtime. The Ducks played outstanding as did Frederik Andersen between the posts. He gave as good as Corey Crawford did for the Blackhawks, but for allowing the game winning goal to get by him in the 16:12 ideep into the night and n third overtime. That's just the way the puck drops sometimes. The Ducks have to eb very optimistic still. There's everything to play for and the series is far from being decided. If there were a silver lining to the cloud that hangs over game 2, it's that they caused Blackhawks a lot of problems and managed to shut down their top scorers for almost six periods of hockey.

NHL Betting Verdict
As the series shifts to Chicago, barely 4o hours later, both sides have to regroup and refocus. If winning game 2 is the catalyst for the Blackhawks, losing game 2 is the incentive for the Ducks to bounce back. As such, there's value on both sides of the coin in our opinion for your NHL picks. That said, this series has been a test in endurance between these two sides and if that trend holds true, look for the Ducks to take back the momentum in game 3.
