Our resident ice hockey betting consultant shares his two top money line NHL picks selections for Sunday, focusing in on Montreal/Florida and St. Louis/Chicago.

Montreal Canadiens vs. Florida Panthers 5:05 PM ET
The NHL odds at Heritage have Montreal installed as a -130 money line favorite in this contest.

The Montreal Canadiens will look to get back on track after losing the last three, and five of their previous six games. They’re currently tied with Tampa Bay for the Atlantic Division lead, and the winner of that race will most likely be the #2 seed in the Eastern Conference for the upcoming 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Carey Price is slated to be in goal today for Montreal. Price has struggled recently, but he’s gone 5-1 in his last six starts versus Florida, and posted an excellent 1.14 GAA in doing so.

It would be hard to imagine the Florida Panthers being in a good mindset for today’s game. After all, they’re coming off a disheartening 4-0 home loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday, and that defeat eliminated them from playoff contention.

NHL Picks: Play on Montreal -135 at YouWager

St. Louis Blues vs. Chicago Blackhawks 7:35 PM ET
The NHL betting odds at Pinnacle indicates that Chicago is a -135 money line favorite for this key Central Division game.

The hotly contested Central Division race is coming down to the wire with three teams in the mix. St. Louis enters today in second place, one point ahead of Chicago, and two points behind the division leading Nashville Predators. Both St. Louis and Chicago have one game in hand on Nashville. Needless to say, tonight’s game at the United Center in Chicago has serious implications regarding the upcoming playoffs.

Chicago has won four in a row, and has gone 13-5 in their last eighteen games. The Blackhawks have gone a very profitable 25-10 against the money line this season versus opponents with a winning record. They’ve also gone an even better 15-4 versus opponents with a winning percentage of .600 to .750, and the Blues are currently at .615.

I’m going to side with the home team in this matchup for one of my NHL picks on Sunday.

NHL Picks: Play on Chicago -135 on the money line over St. Louis at Pinnacle.
