Sports handicapper Ian Cameron provides the NHL Early Lines Report for the hockey card taking place on Tuesday, November 15, and he features a home NHL betting underdog in the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. the Nashville Predators. .

Nashville Predators At Toronto Maple Leafs

The Predators enter Tuesday on the heels of a three-game streak at home, notching victories against Ottawa, St. Louis and Anaheim -- but this team has performed much differently away from home. Nashville is a woeful 1-6 on the road this season, struggling to play good hockey and win games outside of Music City. Toronto is coming off a 4-1 loss in Pittsburgh against the defending Stanley Cup champions on Saturday night, but it was a difficult scheduling spot for the Leafs playing on the second night of back-to-back games.

Toronto has responded with wins following each of its two previous losses against the NY Islanders and Los Angeles. The Leafs are getting strong offensive contributions from a variety of players, and their defensive zone coverage -- which was poor to begin the season -- is showing signs of improvement of late. Toronto has defended home ice rather well with a 5-2 record this season, and I expect it to play well tonight lbeat beat the Predators, who may be without their No. 1 goalie Pekka Rinne as he did not participate in the game day morning skate.

NHL Free Pick: Leafs +103
