After just one game in the NHL on Monday, we’ve got a full slate with 11 contests on the card on Tuesday. We’ve got an individual preview of the Ottawa-Philadelphia matchup and below are three more picks:

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Montreal Canadiens

Tampa Bay was already becoming a team I liked to add to my sports picks for unders and now with Steve Stampkos out, that’s going to be a play I consider even more so.

On Tuesday, they’ll play in Montreal and we should see Ben Bishop back in net after Anders Lindback started on Monday. Bishop is 11-2-0 with a 2.12 GAA this season and Montreal has had trouble scoring recently. They’ve totaled 15 goals in their last eight games. Take the under.

NHL Pick: Under 5.5 at Bovada

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Washington Capitals

According to NHL odds the Capitals are a small home favorite on Tuesday night and I think they are worth a play. They are playing a Blue Jackets team that’s been a wreck all season and has lost four straight on the road. The Caps have also won four straight in this series.

Washington is viewed as having a mediocre start and at 9-8-1 it’s hard to argue with that assessment. However, they are 6-3-0 at home and most of their road losses (at Chicago, at Vancouver, at Phoenix, at Colorado) have come against pretty good Western Conference teams. I think they are clearly the better team in this matchup.

NHL Pick: Capitals -135 at Pinnacle

Nashville Predators vs. New York Islanders

The Islanders have had a rough stretch over the last week as they enter Tuesday’s contest as losers of four straight. However, I expect them to get back on track now that they are back at home where they score more.

I’m not going to play the side in this game with my NHL picks but I will take a shot with the over. The Isles average 3.11 goals per game at home (compared to 2.33 on the road). With the Predators being an over team these days, I’ll expect this game to go above the number in this one.

NHL Pick: Over 5.5 at Bet365
