After a quiet Wednesday, the NHL is back with a full slate of 12 games. We’ve circled three games off the card for our Thursday Hockey Picks.

NHL Betting: Thursday Picks

Florida Panthers at Philadelphia Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers look like they’ve finally got some momentum going, mostly because they are finally getting some home games. They’ve won two straight – both at home – and I’ll lay the juice with them on Thursday. The Flyers have already stomped the Panthers once this season, beating them 7-1 in Florida. The Panthers have lost six of eight and have allowed at least three goals in all eight games.

The NHL odds are sporting a higher Vig than I would like, but I like the Flyers in this spot.

Hockey Picks: Flyers -150 at Bovada

Vancouver Canucks at Minnesota Wild

The road has been kind to the Vancouver Canucks, so why not stick with them? They’ve now won three straight overall and are 2-1-1 on the road this season. Their recent surge has been thanks to the highly-criticized goaltender Roberto Luongo, who hasn’t allowed more than two goals (not including shootout winners) in any game.

As long as Luongo is in net on Thursday, I like the Canucks for one of our Free NHL Picks in this contest.

Detroit Red Wings at St. Louis Blues

The St. Louis Blues were absolutely bombed at home in their latest outing as the Nashville Predators scored six goals en route to a 6-1 win on Tuesday. The Blues are one of the better defensive teams in the league and this type of thing doesn’t usually happen to them.

Look for them to bounce back with a strong effort against the Red Wings. Although they gave up five goals to Detroit on the road last Saturday, the Blues shut them out 6-0 in the other meeting between the teams earlier this year.

Detroit’s offense has been missing in action on the road this season as they’ve scored just four regulation goals in four road games. That’s way off the 16 they’ve scored in five home games. I like the under in this spot.

Hockey Picks: Under 5.5 at Pinnacle
