At +127 the Columbus Blue Jackets are a must bet 'dog at Pinnacle! I'll tell you why former USA Hockey Coach, John Tortorella, will finally get a win in my NHL pick.

2016-17 Record: 1-2   33.33%  +0.36 units

Huge come from behind victory last night with the Edmonton Oilers at +118, for 2 units, as we now find ourselves back in the black as promised.

As usual, I'm looking for live dogs to play a small percentage of my bankroll on so we can build quick without much risk. Lesson number three of this season is the opposite of yesterday's. Now that we're ahead a little don't increase your bets because you have some wiggle room.  Stay the course, play small, and shop for numbers. 5Dimes offers the best return at +130 but watch these numbers until game time because I think you'll be able to get a better return as the day goes on.

Three scenarios to watch for so we can get the best of the line.  First, you can play it now and get a solid return or you can wait to see if the public will drive this number up further.  The Sharks opened -114 and now we see the over 75% of the bets are on the Sharks driving this number to -145 at BetDSI.  The 20 cent line at BetDSI prevents you from getting the best buy-back number but keep watching.

The Jackets are the second youngest team in the NHL. On opening night, which resulted in a 6-3 loss to the Bruins, the Jackets were in control until Brad Marchand went on a third-period tear earning him five points on the night. Columbus had two, two-goal leads, which they blew but despite that John Tortorella is going to stick with the same line combinations in hopes of infusing some confidence.

Tortorella's team had more opportunities to increase their lead but too often looked like a team that wasn't sure how to protect their advantage. They were tight and tentative.  From a betting standpoint most would take the easy route and assume that the defending Western Conference Champions will easily roll over the Jackets but after an emotional opening night win over their rival Los Angeles Kings and with a big nationally televised game on Monday against the Rangers on the horizon, it looks like this is a good spot to catch the Sharks napping.

You would win a lot of barroom bets if you ask who had the upper-hand historically between the Sharks and the Jackets and its not even close.  In their last 10 meetings Columbus is 7-2-1 and have outscored the Sharks 40-26 in that time and even though last season was they managed to go across country and beat San Jose at the 'Shark Tank'.

Let's get on that 'dog' tonight as we continue to increase our bankroll.
