After eliminating the Predators 10-game home win streak, Anaheim must be convinced that their time is now, especially with key Nashville injuries. NHL analyst Dana Lane reunites his followers with the win column tonight.

Final Regular Season NHL Selection Record: 87-73 .544 +16.95 units

Overall: 102-87 .540 +21.56 units

The Western Conference Finals is now down to the best of three with tonight’s winner gaining a major advantage being just one win away from the Stanley Cup Final.

The big news yesterday was that the Preds will be without center Ryan Johansen for the rest of the postseason after a left thigh injury in game four. Without their leading scorer it’s hard to not back the Ducks, a team I was betting WITH Johansen in the line-up as you saw on today’s Puckheads Show.

Johansen isn’t the only center who could miss game five. Captain Mike Fisher left game four after colliding with Josh Manson leaving him questionable. Fisher hasn’t given much on the scoresheet but he is their leader in the lockerroom, his disappearance would be a major blow to the Nashville depth at center. Calle Yarnkrok would then center the first line, a responsibility the Swede just isn’t built for.

Interesting comments from Yannick Webber speak about the Nashville 1st period in game four, a period in which Nashville managed only two shots. Webber stated that the Predators couldn’t match the Ducks intensity which makes me wonder how will they match the Ducks extra gear if Johansen and Fisher is out of the line-up. The more this series continues, the more I get the feeling that the Ducks are the aggressors or maybe the bullies.

There has also been too much emphasis on the Ducks losing a 3-1 lead, only to get the game winner from Corey Perry in overtime. Instead, realize how easy it could have been for the Ducks to quit when all the momentum was going in the Predators favor. That was the third time this postseason that Anaheim erased a two-goal deficit.

Let’s grab an Anaheim Ducks ticket tonight as the move one step closer to Lord Stanley’s Cup.
