NHL Betting Saturday
Record: 63-73 (-753)
Nashville Predators at San Jose Sharks
I know that Nashville has struggled recently but I still can’t fathom laying -140 with the San Jose Sharks in any situation right now. Sure, the Predators have lost five of seven and they’ve been allowing way more goals than they normally do. However, the Sharks are in nosedive mode with just two wins in their last 12 games.
As a sizeable road dog on the NHL odds boards, I’ll take a shot with the Preds.
Hockey Picks: Predators +130 at Bovada
Washington Capitals at Winnipeg Jets
I’m still skeptical of the Jets but they’ve won five of their last six and have looked quite impressive. Clearly, they’ve turned a corner and are playing with lots of confidence. However, I’m not interested in laying -140 with the Jets – even if they are hosting the Capitals, who are quite inconsistent.
Instead, I’ll take a flier on the puck line with Winnipeg and see if they can cover the spread. Washington is tied for the fewest road wins in the NHL so the Jets should get the win; it’s just a matter if they can cover the two goals.

Florida Panthers at Carolina Hurricanes
I’m somewhat surprised to see the over getting plus-money in this contest as neither team is known as a particularly strong defensive team. These two teams have squared off once this season and the result was a 5-1 win by Florida.
Florida has allowed at least three goals in four straight games while allowing an average of 3.75 per game. As long as Florida does their part in the scoring department, we should get the over for this NHL Pick.
