Boston Bruins vs Minnesota Wild

The Boston Bruins have been one of the best road teams in the NHL so far this season registering a strong 7-3 record away from home and that has a solid chance in my mind to improve tonight to 8-3 as they face the offensively challenged Minnesota Wild who are 2-4 in their last 6 games and have scored 2 goals or less in 5 of those games. Part of the problem has been an anemic Wild power play which has gone just 1-for-13 in their last 5 games.

The power play isn’t likely to get markedly better in this game facing a stingy Bruins defense and their surging goaltender Tuukka Rask who has been exceptional in net for the Bruins notching a 10-1 record on the season and a sparkling 1.54 GAA and .945 save percentage. Minnesota shut out Boston 5-0 earlier this season at TD Garden but the Wild are struggling to score goals right now compared to that time and the Bruins have won in each of their last two trips to Minnesota. Boston is also 7-2 in their last 9 games and I expect them to keep their run going with another win tonight for my NHL Pick.
