The Nashville Predators have found their offensive legs as of late but Champion Handicapper Dana Lane explains that you must read this before jumping on the 'over'.

Nashville Predators vs Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild will conclude a four game home-stand tonight against the Nashville Predators at the Xcel Energy Center. The Predators have won five of their last six games while the Wild have been on fire with a 19-2-1 mark over their last 22 games, along with six wins in their last seven games. I currently have the Wild ranked 8th in my power rankings while the Predators are sitting at 13th.

The Minnesota Wild are concluding their four-game home stand tonight as they finish their second of a back to back game tonight. It's the third straight weekend that the Wild are playing back to back weekend games. You have to factor possible fatigue into this one. Like we've said before, fatigue doesn't always mean a slower paced hockey game, it can also lead to sloppiness which turns into turnovers giving us more offensive chances. The Wild beat Anaheim 5-3 Saturday.

The Nashville Predators are playing the last of a five-game road trip. This will be their third game in four nights so there should be plenty of errant passes leading to a ton of shots on goal. Nashville has seven players with at least 21 points this season.

We have talked about shot to goal efficiency in past columns and it holds true in this one. I want a team that puts a lot of shots on net but also one that finds the back of the net with regularity. Nashville is 7th in the league with 31 shots per game. They drop to 14th with 2.70 goals per game but still well within the range of efficiency that we're looking for. Minnesota isn't a team that going to make Pekka Rinne work much as they rank just 19th in shots per game (29.4) but their quality shots are as good as anybody in the league. They have taken their low shot production and turned into 3.31 goals per game, ranking them third. When you add the elements of fatigue and the fact that Nashville heads home after this game while the Wild are getting prepared to go on the road, there is a huge mental and physical factor playing out in this one that should lead to both teams easily getting 27-30 shots on net.

Let's go and get some of the 'over' in a game that should feature at least six goals. Always make sure to shop for the best line.
