The Stanley Cup Final shifts to the Amalie Arena in Tampa on Monday night when the Lightning host the Colorado Avalanche in Game 3. Read on for our Avalanche-Lightning same-game parlay picks.

The Avalanche convincingly snatched a 2-0 series lead on Saturday night, running roughshod over an overmatched Lightning squad. Cale Makar and Valeri Nichushkin notched two goals apiece, and an underworked Darcy Kuemper made 16 saves to secure a 7-0 victory.

Will the Avalanche grab a 3-0 stranglehold lead in the series? Or can the Lightning claw their way back at home?

Here are my same-game parlay picks for Monday night’s Avalanche-Lightning Game 3 showdown (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

NHL Same Game Parlay Predictions

Avalanche (-110)

As hard as it is to expect the defending back-to-back champions to drop three straight, the Lightning haven’t really shown much over the first two games. The Avalanche ate Tampa's lunch in Game 2 while racking up a ridiculous 67.42 Corsi for percentage, and 69.41 expected goals for percentage. That thorough dominance showed up on the scoreboard too, and I don’t expect Colorado to take its foot off the gas in Game 3.

The Avalanche are outshooting the Lightning 68-39 in the series while outscoring them 11-3. Colorado also boasts a 60.96 Corsi for percentage, and a 68.37 expected goals for percentage. It's impossible to back Tampa until the club pushes back in a serious way.

Over 6 (+115)

Poor Andrei Vasilevskiy was shelled in Game 2 while surrendering all seven goals for the Lightning. Don’t expect another sieve-like performance, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Colorado's vaunted offense buries him in an avalanche of goals again on Monday night.

Also, the Lightning surely won't be shut out again. They possess too much explosive firepower, and the team boasted a top-10 offense throughout the regular season. Tampa will find a way to put a few past Kuemper in a losing cause.

The teams combined for seven goals in the series opener, and seven were also recorded in Game 2. Expect more of the same in Game 3.

Nichushkin anytime goalscorer (+230)

Don't be surprised if Nichushkin lights the lamp with the way he's playing. Big V has racked up three goals, four points, and 11 shots thus far against the Lightning while riding shotgun with Nathan MacKinnon and Gabriel Landeskog on the Avalanche’s top line.

Expect Nichushkin to continue his reign of terror on Monday night, finding the back of the net at least once.
