Historically the Ducks have owned the Jets which has promoted the early money to furiously come in on Anaheim but our NHL handicapper Dana Lane explains why that trend ends tonight.

Anaheim Ducks vs Winnipeg Jets

Now that the Ducks have clinched a playoff spot I expect a small let down tonight. When teams accomplish goals there is a tendency to be complacent their next outing.

This is the time of year when we have playoff teams playing against clubs who are looking ahead to next season.  It’s necessary to identify the teams that will still give an honest effort which is a trait that will give my followers a chance to find some plus money nuggets.

Make sure to always shop for the best lines available here.

The Anaheim Ducks are the first Pacific Division team to secure a playoff spot in consecutive seasons but with the road trip continuing there had to be some celebration after a 4-1 victory in Vancouver which propelled Anaheim into the playoffs.

The Jets are not without some bright spots, Patrik Laine who is their future will most likely move up to be a first line winger next season. Laine has 61 points in 68 games while playing on a line with Bryan Little and Mathieu Perreault against New Jersey.  The Jets have five players that could top the 25 goals mark. By comparison the Ducks could end up with just three players to hit the 25 goal plateau and that’s only if Ryan Kesler and Jakob Silfverberg score four times each.  I feel as if the Jets style matches up well against the Ducks who are more than willing to play a grind it out style.

When we look at the Jets current form there isn’t any indication that the Jets have given up at any point. Winnipeg has wins over St .Louis and Minnesota this month while dropping games to the Pittsburgh Penguins, San Jose Sharks, and the Calgary Flames.  Three teams that could easily put a snag into any teams plans for success.

Let’s jump on the Jets getting a generous price at home against the Ducks who may be in a state of satisfaction.
