There’s a 10-game card to look forward too on Saturday with a couple of early afternoon starts. One of those games is among our NHL picks, so read on to find out who we’re on.
Nashville Predators vs. Los Angeles Kings
NHL Odds: Kings -130
The Predators could be worth a small play in this spot as the Kings have not been particularly sharp of late. On top of that, the Kings are back home after a three-game west coast road trip in Canada and sometimes teams are a little flat in their first game back home. They played those three games in four nights and Saturday’s affair back at home will be their fourth game in six nights. Overall, they’ve lost two of three and eight of 13.
The Preds play well in this series as they’ve won five of the last seven meetings between the teams. Kings netminder Jonathan Quick has just two wins in 10 career outings against Nashville.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Arizona Coyotes
NHL Odds: Coyotes -105
The Blue Jackets have turned their season around with a very strong performance in the month of December. They won 10 of their 12 games in the month and have vaulted back up the standings. They still have a lot of ground to cover but this hot streak has helped. They should be able to take care of business against a bumbling Coyotes team that has not been able to get much going offensively. The Coyotes have scored three goals or less in 14 straight home games. The Blues Jackets have been playing very well at their own end of the ice, giving up just 2.25 goals per game in December, which is the eighth best number in the NHL.
The Blue Jackets have won three straight against the Coyotes and should be a reasonable bet in this spot. They’re the hotter team and you don’t have to lay much with them on the NHL betting lines. Take a shot with them and add the Blue Jackets to your NHL picks tonight.

Buffalo Sabres vs. New York Rangers
NHL Odds: Rangers -315
Obviously, we’re looking at a crazy amount of juice here in the Sabres-Rangers matchup as NHL odds show a very one-sided game. It makes sense as the Sabres have gone in the tank – once again – and can’t seem to figure out how to be a competitive team. They’ve now lost seven of eight and haven’t really been close in many of those games. They’ve lost by an average of 3.0 goals per game in that span, which is why we’re going to look at the puck line with the Rangers.
The Sabres have been miserable on the road this year with just four wins in 17 away games. That’s tied for the fewest road wins in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, the Rangers have been cooking with nine wins in their last 10 games. That being the case, take a shot with them and lay the extra goal.
