The Vegas Golden Knights get a chance to punch their ticket to the Western Conference Final when they visit the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday night. Despite being the only game on Sunday, this matchup provides plenty of opportunities to line your pockets with some extra sweet, sweet cash. It’s do-or-die time for the Oilers. 

Unlike the fallen Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton’s biggest stars have been delivering on the score sheet thus far during the postseason. But that hasn’t stopped the Oilers from being pushed to the brink. The Oilers fell 4-3 despite a two-goal effort from Connor McDavid in Game 5. Jack Eichel notched a goal and two assists, while goaltender Adin Hill made 31 saves to secure the win for the Golden Knights.

Edmonton and Vegas have been alternating wins and losses through five games, and the Oilers hope that trend continues on Sunday night. Hill is expected to be between the pipes again for the Golden Knights, while Stuart Skinner—who was pulled in favor of Jack Campbell in Game 5 after giving up four goals on 22 shots—will likely patrol the crease for the Oilers.

Although they lean heavily on their vaunted power play that's connecting at a 41% clip in the series, the Oilers haven’t been completely outclassed at five-on-five. They're outpacing the Golden Knights in Corsi for percentage while finishing close behind in expected goals for (8.12 to Vegas’ 8.92).

When adjustments are made for all situations, Edmonton is the superior team in Corsi for percentage, expected goals for, expected goals against, and expected goals for percentage. Getting back to that terrifying man-advantage situation, the Oilers are averaging 4.4 power-play opportunities per game against Vegas.
