Sportsbook Review's NHL best bets for today's slate.

Coming out of the holiday weekend in the United States, there are six games on the National Hockey League schedule for Monday. Read on as we offer up our best bets and top NHL picks.

The spotlight matchup has the red-hot New Jersey Devils visiting the New York Rangers, but Monday’s schedule is relatively competitive.

There is only one game with a favorite priced at more than -200 on the moneyline for the favorite. That has the Vegas Golden Knights in Columbus to take on the Blue Jackets.

Here are our best bets for Monday’s NHL slate (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, Caesars, BetMGM, and PointsBet; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

NHL Top Picks for Monday

Moneyline: Devils (-110) ★★★★

The Devils have one loss in the past 16 games, which makes it hard to envision them as anything but favorites. Even on the road. Even against the Rangers. The Devils are 9-1 on the road and have controlled 62.4% of five-on-five score-and-venue-adjusted expected goals.

Home ice has not been a safe place for the Rangers this season. The Blueshirts are 4-4-3 at home, with one of the four wins coming in overtime against Philadelphia, and another against Arizona. To their credit, the Rangers have improved as a possession team, earning 53.1% of five-on-five score-and-venue-adjusted shot attempts.

Despite that improvement for the Rangers, the Devils are a freight train right now and priced consistently at -110 at the top sportsbooks.

Spread: Golden Knights -1.5 (-120) ★★★★★

Vegas heads into Columbus coming off back-to-back home losses. The Golden Knights are a sizzling 9-1-1 on the road this season and four of those road wins have been by a margin of multiple goals.

The Blue Jackets have a respectable 6-8 record on home ice this season and have not completely collapsed despite a recent run of injuries. At the same time, seven of their eight home losses have been by more than one goal.

Odds opened with the Golden Knights -1.5 at -110 odds but the top sportsbooks have all shifted to -120.

Total: Devils-Rangers Under 6 (-120) ★★★★

The Devils are allowing a league low 2.17 goals against per 60 minutes. They are a dominant possession team and goaltender Vitek Vanecek has a .923 save percentage in 14 games. The Devils have hit a total of six goals or less in four straight road games.

Last season, Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin was the runaway winner of the Vezina Trophy. While Shesterkin has not been as dominant this season, the Rangers rank ninth in goals against, with 2.74 goals against per 60 minutes. In 11 home games, the Rangers have reached a total of six goals or less seven times.

New Jersey’s strong defensive play against a Rangers team with an elite goaltender steers this game towards the Under. The Under is priced consistently at -110 across the top sportsbooks.

Upset: Oilers (-105) ★★★★

Although the Edmonton Oilers have struggled on home ice, posting a 5-6 record, they do have an opportunity to earn a small upset.

That opportunity comes because the Florida Panthers are only 4-6 on the road this season. On top of that, the Panthers are missing No. 1 center Aleksander Barkov, who did not travel to Alberta with the team due to illness.

The Panthers have strong underlying numbers, pulling 56.4% of five-on-five score-and-venue-adjusted expected goals, but Barkov drives results. His absence from the Panthers lineup creates a better chance for Oilers centers Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

DraftKings, BetMGM, and PointsBet have the Oilers as slight underdogs, priced at -105. FanDuel and Caesars have both sides priced at -110.

Prop bet: Stone Over 0.5 goals (+205) ★★★★★

Golden Knights captain Mark Stone has scored six goals in 11 road games this season, recording at least one goal in five of those 11 games.

He goes up against a Blue Jackets team allowing a league high 4.17 goals against per 60 minutes. Columbus goaltender Daniil Tarasov has a .906 save percentage in six games. He has shown promise but, with eight career starts, is still growing as an NHL goalie.

Caesars offers Stone for an anytime goal at +205, a favorable price relative to BetMGM (+180) and DraftKings (+185).
