Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Philadelphia Flyers
The Maple Leafs are in the midst of an epic collapse as they’ve now dropped six straight. What’s keyed this failure is their goaltending and defense, which has allowed 32 goals in their last eight games. On Friday, they’re facing the Flyers, who have averaged the second-most goals per game in the NHL this month at 3.42. They should have a field day in this one.
Take the over with your NHL picks. Seven of the last nine meetings – and three of the last four in Philadelphia – have gone over the number.
Pick: Over 5.5 at Bodog
vs. Ottawa Senators
The Sens have been a great over play for sports picks recently as 12 of their last 16 against winning teams have gone above the number. Overall, six of their last nine have been overs too. The problem is their goaltending as they’ve allowed at least three goals in 11 straight games. With the Chicago Blackhawks coming off a shutout loss last night in Boston to the current Eastern Conference leaders, expect their offense to come to life in this one.

Anaheim Ducks vs. Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers have packed it in once more as they’ve now dropped three straight while being outscored 16-4. What’s worse is that all three losses were at home, two of which were to Buffalo and Calgary. It got ugly in the Flames loss as an Oilers fan threw a jersey on the ice. It is starting to look more and more like head coach Dallas Eakins could get the axe at the end of the season.
I’ll take the Ducks on the puck line as I expect them to take advantage of the situation here. They’ve won four of six.
Pick: Ducks -1.5 +175 at Bovada
