There are 12 games in the NHL on tap tonight, which means there’s plenty for us to choose from. Here’s our best NHL bets of the night.

Ottawa Senators vs. Tampa Bay Lightning
Odds: Lightning -200
The Tampa Bay Lightning are laying a big number in this spot but it’s easy to see why. This has been one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference this season as they’ve won four of six and 10 of their last 14 games. Meanwhile, Ottawa comes into this game off a win but that was just their third win in their last nine games.

Ben Bishop should be in net for the Lightning and he has been hard to beat at home. He has a 2.17 GAA at home with a .922 save percentage. With the Sens being in a back-to-back situation after playing in Florida on Friday, I expect them to be a little worn down. The Lightning should be able to keep them under wraps and keep this game under the number. It’s also worth mention that Saturday will be the Senators fourth road game in six days.

NHL Pick: Under 5.5 at 5Dimes

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Los Angeles Kings
Odds: Kings -120
The Los Angeles Kings are laying a little bit of juice on the NHL betting odds in this matchup even though the Chicago Blackhawks have been playing really well. Chicago enters this game having won five of six but the Kings are a strong team at home. On the season, they are 10-2-1 at the Staples Center and lead the league in goals allowed at home (1.46). On the road, they are a completely different team as they allow 3.10 per game, which is more than a goal and a half more.

The Blackhawks played on Friday, so the back-to-back situation could wear on them. This should be a low-scoring affair with the Kings dictating the pace at home.

NHL Pick: Under 5 at Bodog

Calgary Flames vs. Arizona Coyotes
Odds: Coyotes -115
The Flames will be wrapping up their brief, three-game road trip on Saturday night as they visit Arizona. They’ve been off since Wednesday, though, so being on the road in this spot might not affect them as much. They’ve had ample time to rest in between games. Beyond that, Arizona hasn’t been a good home team as they’ve lost four straight on their home ice and are allowing a whopping 3.20 goals per game at home. Only Dallas (3.31) and Columbus (3.73) allow more.

Never mind at home, the Coyotes haven’t been a good team anywhere recently as they’ve lost four of five while scoring an average of 2.0 goals per game in the process. Calgary is a good team, is 8-5-0 on the road and isn’t getting the respect they deserve in this matchup. They have won five of their last seven games and have been playing very well. They are currently tied for fourth in the Western Conference while the Coyotes are all the way down in 14th. Take the Flames in this spot as part of your NHL picks today.

NHL Pick: Flames -105 at The Greek
