Usually, Mondays are quiet in the NHL but not this one. We’ve got 12 games on the menu with 24 teams in action. Let’s take a look through the NHL betting lines to see if we can find some value.
Nashville Predators vs. Chicago Blackhawks
NHL Odds: Blackhawks -160
The Predators and Blackhawks will meet up in the marquee game on Monday night as these are two of the best teams in the NHL right now. Entering Monday, the Blackhawks are second in the Western Conference with 50 points while the Predators are third with 48. However, the Predators have played two fewer games than the Blackhawks.
This is a game that should be low scoring as it features two of the stingiest teams in the league. The Blackhawks allow just 2.03 goals per game, which is the fewest in the NHL. As for the Predators, they’re right behind the Blackhawks in second place at 2.06.
The Predators have had a tough time lighting the lamp against the Blackhawks as they’ve scored just five goals in their last three meetings with them. As for Chicago, they’ve scored just seven times in their last three meetings with Nashville. That being the case, go under with your NHL picks.

New York Rangers vs. Dallas Stars
NHL Odds: Stars -108
We may as well stick with the hot hand in this one as the New York Rangers have won eight straight games. They’ve been flattening opponents during this winning streak as they’ve outscored them by a count of 24-11.
Dallas has played well recently with six wins in their last eight but the same trends continue to play out for them. They play better on the road than at home. Four of those wins were on the road. They’ve dropped three of their last five at home.
That being the case, we’ll take a flier on the Rangers here. They’re the best team in the NHL right now, so they’re NHL odds are worth a look with such a cheap price tag.

Philadelphia Flyers vs. Arizona Coyotes
NHL Odds: Coyotes -113
The Coyotes are a small home favorite in this one and in some ways, it makes sense. They’ve won two straight, which includes a win over the mighty Anaheim Ducks, and they’re at home for this one. However, at a closer look, there’s a really good chance the Flyers come away with the win here.
For starters, the Coyotes had dropped 12 of 15 before this brief winning streak. And while the win versus Anaheim is decent, it came via shootout, which tend to be coin flips. Their win before that was against Edmonton. As a matter of fact, three of their last five wins have come against Edmonton, so they haven’t been very reliable outside of playing the worst team in the league.
The Flyers are coming off a loss but have still won three of four and five of eight. As a road dog in this spot, they’re worth a play.
