Money is pouring in on the Stars tonight, I'll tell you why that's the wrong side and where to find the best NHL odds. Join me as I break down tonight's game between Dallas and Columbus.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween as we look to get back into the NHL schedule which provides more opportunity to cash tickets than I've seen at any time this season. Not just because of the amount to choose from but because I've identified 2-4 games that allow us a tremendous chance to make some money without a great deal of risk.

Here, we're going to break our NHL pick as our bankroll continues to burst from success.

Dallas Stars vs Columbus Blue Jackets

As usual, it's important to shop for the best NHL odds especially in our first game because you can find lines from -120 to -113. Thankfully we jumped on the Columbus Blue Jackets early to get the -110 but now it appears -113 is your best option so we'll stick with that number.

No team has had more setbacks by injuries than the Dallas Stars. Not a great combination when it's difficult to rely on their goaltending from night to night. The Stars are sitting at 3-4-1 on the young season but if things don't get better soon they may find themselves buried in the Western Conference as only the Nashville Predators are keeping the Stars out of the basement in the Central Division.

So far it appears that bettors are willing to take another shot with the Stars as the opening number has dropped from Columbus -125 to -113 mostly because 58% of all money line wagers have been on the Stars at a plus price in some spots.

Dallas has lost four of their last five games including a 4-0 shutout at the hands of the Wild who handed the Stars their second shutout loss in three games. Tonight will end their short three-game road trip which leads me to believe that we'll have a case of a team looking forward to getting home rather than focusing on the Jackets.

Even at 3-3-1, it would be fair to say that Columbus owns a better record than most thought they would at this stage considering the quality of teams they played to start the season. Head Coach, John Tortorella, has done a great job since the disappointing World Cup performance by Team USA.

Jackets Goaltender, Sergei Bobrovsky, stopped 35 shots to keep the Ducks off the board, Friday, fueling the Jackets 1.25 GAA on their recent road trip. That's not going to entice me to back the Stars, like the public, especially when they've been so offensively challenged.
