Flyers-Penguins To Cash An Even Money 'Under' 5.5

NHL Game

The Penguins and Flyers have a history of producing 'over's, but expert hockey capper Dana lane explains why that trend stops tonight. Read on to get his expert thoughts on the matter.

Last night we got back to cashing winners as the Carolina Hurricanes easily handled the Ottawa Senators, 3-0. Tonight the 'total' in the Penguins, Flyers match-up brings us another low risk, high reward opportunity. Make sure you shop for the best lines at all SBR approved sportsbooks.

The best line available for the 'under' is even money now but you may want to wait a little because the higher percentage of bets are coming in on the 'over' which may push the 'under' to a plus price as we come closer to the start of the second Stadium Series game.

This is the second meeting of the season between these two clubs, and as we like to do, we're going against what we just saw which was a high scoring 5-4 Penguins victory. I say this all the time in my columns, recent games are not a reflection of what happens again, its a blue print for both coaches to stop what just happened from happening again.

Which Michal Neuvirth will we see in goal today for the Penguins?  The one who has allowed 12 goals in his last three starts or the one who allowed just six goals in his last games prior.  Let's go with the latter, why?, because don't lose sight of the March 1st deadline.  You will get the very best effort out of everyone on the ice including the goaltenders.  The Flyers and Penguins are both teams that have to make some choices as the deadline and expansion draft approaches.

Matt Murray gets the start on the other end of the ice.  Murray has been sensational as of late allowing two gals or less in five of his last six starts including a shutout of the Vancouver Canucks.

On the injury front its not clear the status of the Flyers Jakub Voracek who was injured in practice.  Not a lot is known of the njury but to take a 49 point guy out of the line-up is a huge void for the Flyers to fill.

The Pens are also battling the injury bug as Bryan Rust, Conor Sheary, Trevor Daley and Olli Maatta have all been on the injured reserve. Kris Letang is out tonight with an upper-body injury and Nick Bonino has come down with an illness and is questionable tonight. Justin Schultz is expected to return from a concussion.

Let's get some 'under' action as both goaltenders shine.
