Off to the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ for tonight’s play as we’re unleashing our highest unit wager to date, puck drops at 7:00 ET/4:00 PT. The number has moved in our favor as the ‘Sharp’ bettors have jumped on the Predators as the number opened.

Nashville Predators vs Philadelphia Flyers

For the first time this season we’re facing some adversity with our bankroll which is exactly why we take things slow and steady. With two straight losses, we would have lost almost everything if we didn’t stay in control of our money. Instead, it’s been just a couple units off of our winnings. No sweat. Tough loss because with about six minutes to go the Blues and Blackhawks were sitting on four goals but I knew when Richard Panik scored on the ‘hawks power play to make it 4-1 our bet was in trouble.

Nashville Nick Bonino (Lower Body Injury) Day to Day

At last most of us remember the Nashville Predators were getting all kinds of production from the blue line but that hasn’t been the case as of yet this season. I like to use the term ‘full belly’ referring to teams that are happy with their 2016-17 results and come back a little less hungry.

The Flyers continue their five-game homestand as they’ll finish their series against the Predators tonight. In the first two games, the Flyers have outscored the Panthers and the Capitals by a combined score of 13-3. Let’s not forget the Flyers dropped a 6-5 decision just nine days ago. That was a game that Philadelphia led by two goals with 12 minutes left and by one goal with under two to play, only to see the Predators score two in two minutes for the victory.

Despite that loss, I’m very confident in the Flyers offensively right now as only the Toronto Maple Leafs have scored more (28-26) that Dave Hakstol’s team. The Flyers have matched the Predators with winning three of their last four but Philadelphia has outscored their opponent by 10 goals in that stretch.

From a trend perspective, Philadelphia has now won 8 of their last 9 home games is the opposite losing their last 6 contest on the road. Nashville has dropped five of their last seven visits to Philadelphia.

Let’s make our biggest wager this season on the Flyers for our Thursday NHL picks.
