This provides a no lose situation but I recommend betting this game quickly.

Goalie Post list Anthony Stolarz as the Flyers starter which is why the Ducks opened as a -150 favorite. The moneyline indicates that Mason will not play but if he happens to overcome his injury you'll receive an inflated plus price with the Flyers main goaltender. If Mason is a 'go' the line with certainly go down, missing your chance for a better price.  Mason bruised his left hand when the end of Joe Thornton's stick got caught in Mason's stick hand glove. Mason did practice yesterday but indicated he wanted to see how he felt Sunday morning.

If Stolarz starts don't be fooled by his back-up status.  Stolarz gave up just one goal on 22 shots against the San Jose Sharks in 40 minutes of play after Mason left. He looked very confident while having to make some difficult daves.  Stolarz might have extra motivation as he's vying for a back-up spot next season.  With the expansion draft looming the Flyers may have a difficult choice when deciding who to leave unprotected.

Another factor in the opening number is how the Flyers have responded since their 10-game winning streak. The Flyers have collected just three points of a possible 12 since the streak mostly because of their difficulty to find the back of the net but the Flyers players aren't alone.

Corey Perry continues to have the worst season in his career. Perry hasn't added to his seven goal total in his last eight games.  Perry didn't have a single goal in the month of November. Leading scorer, Ryan Kessler, has gone 11 games without a goal while Ryan Getzlaf has just one point in his last five games. Defensemen,Sami Vatenen, is questionable for the Ducks.

From a trend perspective the Flyers are 8-1 after allowing two goals or less in their previous game while the Ducks are 1-4 against teams who allowed two goals or less in their previous game. The 'over' is 19-7-6 in Philadelphia's last 32 games against the Western Conference.
