The Penguins and the Flyers cashed another easy winner for my readers last night. Tonight, my eyes are on Nashville-Washington matchup, so join me to cash another winner NHL pick.

Nashville Predators vs Washington Capitals

Tonight, we’re climbing on the back of another ‘total’ in D.C. as the Nashville Predators and the Washington Capitals clash at the Verizon Center.

First things first, make sure to always shop for the best line available at all SBR approved sportsbooks

I recommend laying off this game until the last minute because both the public and the professionals are on the ‘over’ so it’s likely that a better number will emerge closer to game time.

Washington ended a four-game losing streak with a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild, Tuesday. Naturally bettors are rushing to the window to take the Caps and the ‘over’ because it’s believed that one victory will push Washington back into their old form, however, not one game does a tendency make.  Just because Alex Ovechkin scored his first goal in 10 games that don't mean that his slump is over.

This is still a Capitals team that is just 6-7 since their mandatory five days off.

For Nashville, it’s not a secret that they have to get tougher in front of the net and corners.  They’ve given up a lot of goals simply because they’ve lost loose puck battles in the slot area.  I’m betting that the caliber of competition will lift the Preds defensive game.  Remember back to last Saturday when the Predators traveled to San Jose and played defensively sound hockey against a legit Stanley Cup contender.

The first meeting of the season ended in a 5-2 Nashville victory, a game that easily went over the number but you what we always say, a high scoring game gives teams a blueprint on how to stop each other’s strengths. Let’s not forget this Capitals team is the league’s number ranked defense, often forgotten because of their offensive might while Nashville is not a team that will force Bradon Holtby to make 35 saves to get the win.

Expect a low scoring contest cashing our NHL pick tonight.
