As expected, the public is pounding the 'over' but our expert NHL handicapper, Dana Lane, explains why the public we'll be wrong again. Read on his professional insight and get the information that will cash your ticket

I don't want to jinx my followers but the facts are simple, we crushed and 2-1 night on Thursday's 'Puckheads', making eight winning shows in our last nine.

In addition, my readers got on board with our six straight write-up winner. I've said this a million times, the books are more concerned with sharp College Basketball numbers than putting together quality NHL lines. The best line I can find is at Matchbook who seems to always provide quality numbers. As always make sure to shop for the best lines at all SBR approved sportsbooks

The New Jersey Devils put up an uncharacteristic six goals on the Philadelphia Flyers last night but to expect that kind of offensive exploration again is a little too much to ask.

Defensively is what I take away from last night's win. The Devils limited the desperate Flyers to just 19 shots overall.

The win, which ended a 10 game losing streak, was the most complete effort the Devils have given in quite sometime. Good defense is all about effort and discipline where offense is more about opportunity, that's why it's easier to anticipate a solid effort on defense than offense

The last we saw of the injury plagued Penguins they were having offensive troubles of their own, getting shut out by the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-0, on Wednesday. A game in which they only managed 23 shots.  I expect the Devils to keep it simple which means a slower pace.

The Penguins are still one of the teams to beat in the East but the combination of sluggish play and injuries has me less confident that they are a team you can count on to push games 'over'.

Get on board with this game cashing an 'under' bet until we see a different Penguins team emerge.
