It’s a busy day on the NHL betting floor with a dozen puck drops around the league scheduled for today. Find out what games to spot with our top NHL daily picks.

Florida vs. Colorado
Florida Panthers, top of the Atlantic Division with a 36-19-8 mark and 80 points, are coming off a win in their last lap around the league, a 3-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets that puts them up to 5-3-2 in their last ten games. Despite their lofty standards, they are trading only as the marginal faves on the road to Colorado, anywhere from -111 to -115 on the NHL odds boards depending on your choice of sportsbook. That’s largely down to a less than stellar road account in recent weeks, which includes just three wins in their last six outings and just one win in their last three outings.

That said, they might be underrated by odds makers because the Avalanche don’t exactly inspire confidence. Home form is just 14-14-4 this season and they are a modest 5-5-0 in their last ten games. Most recently, they are riding a two-game losing streak, both of which were dispiriting defeats in which they were outscored 11-6. In their last six home games, they are just 2-4 SU. In spite of this inconsistent form the Avalanche are priced anywhere from +103 to -105 to win outright, as if to suggest they have a shot. Be that as it may – anything is possible, obviously – based on this current form how can NHL bettors risk a play on the Avalanche to win with any confidence. The logical NHL pick must be the Panthers.

Anaheim vs. Arizona
Anaheim Ducks are riding an impressive nine-game winning streak into tonight’s clash with the Arizona Coyotes. Most recently, they edged the Montreal Canadiens (last night) in a 3-2 shootout. On Sunday, they got the better of the Los Angeles Kings. On the heels of this tear, they are now neck-and-neck with the Kings on 78 points atop the Pacific Division. A win tonight combined with a loss by the Kings to the Canadiens tonight would see the Ducks assume top spot. Similarly, a win tonight combined with a likely win by the Kings over the Canadiens would see the Ducks stay the course with the Kings.

In no uncertain terms, this is a must-win game for the Ducks if they hope to keep pace with the Kings. Certainly, they have the edge on form over their divisional rivals, which augurs well and has them the indisputable road favourites on the NHL odds board, anywhere from  -155 to -165 NHL odds across various sports betting platforms. Might the Coyotes have something to say about the proceedings? Naturally, they have home edge where they are a decent 16-12-4 this season. However, the Coyotes have lost six in a row and form is a paltry 3-7-0 in their last ten. Colour the hockey betting world shocked if the Coyotes derail the Ducks.

San Jose vs. Canucks
Can the Vancouver Canucks transcend a depressing 11-15-5 home record and upset the San Jose Sharks at Rogers Arena? By the NHL odds, the resounding answer is no. The Canucks are installed as the home pups, anywhere from +144 (Pinnacle) to +155 (Heritage) in money line markets. Underscoring those NHL odds is a two-game losing streak and a subpar 4-6-0 mark in their last ten games. Most recently, they are coming off 3-2 loss to the Islanders at home and, ironically, they lost to the Sharks as recently as Sunday at Rogers Arena 4-1.

In their last ten home games, the Canucks have mustered up just two wins. Those are hardly the sort of stats to inspire NHL bettors to tickle a home win on their NHL picks. San Jose Sharks, by contrast, are riding a two-game winning streak into Thursday’s date with the Canucks and they boast a 6-2-2 mark in their last ten games. The 4-1 win over the Canucks on Thursday should give the Sharks added confidence to heap more misery on the hosts.
