On a jam-packed day of NHL betting, we look at a few away favorites in our daily NHL betting picks column that are worth the money. Check ‘em out.

Anaheim vs. Ottawa
Anaheim Ducks are riding a two-game losing streak, yet they enter their clash with the Ottawa Senators as the clear-cut road faves on the NHL odds board. Odds makers are trading an Anaheim outright win at -140 or higher, depending on your choice sportsbook. That’s down to the fact the Senators aren’t exactly in good form with a two-game losing streak going into this clash, not least of all they have nothing left to play for really except pride. Ducks are 4-4-2 in their last ten games, coming off a shocking 6-5 loss to Toronto on Thursday night. They lost to the Canadiens 4-3 on Tuesday night too. Since an 11-game winning streak came to an abrupt end at home to Washington, behind a 2-1 shootout loss, the Ducks have struggled to find consistency: they’ve lost six of their last nine games. That said, the Ducks beat the Senators 4-1 earlier this season. The Senators are just 4-5-1 in their last ten games and coming off losses to Washington and NY Islanders, a pair of playoff contenders this season. The Ducks should bounce back in this game with a solid win.

NY Rangers vs. Montreal
The Rangers are riding a two-game winning streak into their clash with the Montreal Canadiens and improve to a 5-3-2 mark in their last ten games. Rangers are second in the Metropolitan division with a 42-24-8 mark and 92 points, but they have a so-so 17-16-5 mark on the road. Home form has clearly been the charm on the season. Nevertheless, they are installed as the road chalk in this game with outright NHL odds set anywhere from -140 to -150 across sports betting markets. On the strength of their season, the Rangers deserve to be favoured for this game. Not to mention they are the better team as well, and in their last two games (both at home) they beat the Panthers and Bruins by a combined score of 9-4. It’s worth noting that the Rangers haven’t beaten the Canadiens in two attempts this season – they lost 3-0 in Montreal in October and 5-1 at Madison Square Garden in November. Since then, the two sides have gone in opposite directions though. Whereas the Rangers are competing for a playoff spot, the Canadiens are sitting out. The hosts still do have a solid home record which stands at 20-14-3 on the season. They won’t be pushovers, but one has to think the Rangers will finally get one over their rivals.

Chicago vs. Calgary
The Chicago Blackhawks face off against Calgary Flames tonight. The pair have met twice this season, each winning at home. However, the Blackhawks, who are playing for a spot in the playoffs, will be looking to bounce back into form after slipping to a 3-5-2 record in their last ten games. Most recently, they are riding a two-game losing streak with losses to Minnesota Wild and Dallas Stars (both at home). This recent dip in form is a bit of a concern as the Blackhawks grapple with their rivals for a spot in the playoffs, but odds makers seem indifferent to it. The Blackhawks are trading as the clear-cut road faves anywhere from -145 to -165 depending on your choice sports betting exchange. Inasmuch as the Blackhawks are struggling right now, the Flames are just as poor on form. They come into this game behind a two-game losing streak with a 6-2 loss to Minnesota Wild and a 5-2 loss to Toronto Maple Leafs, the latter of which is a side that has sat in the foot of the league’s table for the better part of the season. Given these lacklustre accounts, it’s no surprise they are at the disadvantage and why we’re backing the Blackhawks on our NHL picks.
