The excitement continues to build as we head towards the Stanley Cup playoffs and today we are fully loaded with the NHL odds options on ice and we hope to melt it with more hot selections.

My style of making NHL picks is not for everyone, being high risk, and I've been told numerous times anybody can do what I do and to a degree I will agree, however, when I hit a rough patch it can be very costly, which is not something everyone will have the courage to go through. Because I developed this method to win games at high rate, for a fourth straight year will end the regular season beating the NHL odds.

Also, for these articles, I have to make picks on games I would not normally look at like yesterday, yet still went 4-0, taking our latest streak to winning seven of last 10 days.

Alright, enough about me, let's get to how I can hopefully help you today.

Sharks Attack Vancouver
While some other teams in the NHL who will not be in the playoffs have made life more challenging for those that will and defeated them in recent weeks, Vancouver (27-49 SU) has not. The Canucks nine-game losing streak (0-8-1) is their longest since the fall of 1997, when they winless for 10 contests. While "tanking" has become a popular term in today's sports world, this is not often associated with hockey players, but with Vancouver being outscored 28-8 in this ugly stretch, a word like "effort" would not be associated with how they are playing.

San Jose (43-34 SU) is three points behind second place Los Angeles and trailing Anaheim by four and would be ahead of both if they were playing like normal at the SAP Center, instead of having highly unusual 17-18-3 home record. The Sharks are a -265 home favorite in what has to be the weirdest scheduling of division rivals. San Jose vanquished Vancouver two days ago at their place, which was no big deal, but this is fifth meeting in only 33 days and expect the Canucks to fall to 2-17 in road games after scoring two goals or less in five straight tilts.

Islanders Execute and Stop Columbus
The New York Islanders (41-34 SU) are a wild card team at the moment and in this sort of weird place where it could be heaven or hell for them. If the Islanders build on last two wins, they could climb all the way to second place in the Metropolitan, but if they put together any sort of losing streak, they could miss the postseason all together.

While this cannot be a good feeling, at least New York can control a large part of its destiny and is a -200 home favorite over caving Columbus (30-46 SU). The Blue Jackets have lost seven of nine and in those defeats have scored two or fewer goals. Columbus has been outscored 9-2 in past two outings and is 0-8 after two straight losses by three goals or more since last season.

Going With Current Form Over Trendy Pick in Pittsburgh
If you are avid follower, you would have bet I would taking Los Angeles, Dallas or Minnesota in this spot, all large favorites. However, I can find flaws with all three and instead will do something I also usually do not do, buck a hot trend.

Nashville is in Pittsburgh tonight and was destroyed by Dallas 5-2 two nights ago. In the last couple years, the Predators are super 10-0 UNDER in road games off a road loss by three goals or more. I normally love these situations, but not this time and here is why.

Nashville this month is 10-1-3 OVER, which tells me their offense has improved and the stop troops have gotten worse. Pittsburgh has won eight of nine and if you toss out unusual 3-0 loss to New Jersey, the Penguins have average 4.3 goals a game when victors and the average total score has been 6.5 GAG. In this case, backing current form over what is a trendy choice at 5.5 from sportsbooks.
