A jam-packed round of NHL betting features on Saturday’s card with eleven puck drops around the league. Here’s a treble of must-have bets for your NHL picks.

Washington vs. Boston
Washington Capitals may be coming off a loss to the New York Rangers at home, but they are a solid 7-3 SU in their last ten games and riding roughshod over the league with a 47-13-4 mark and 98 points, thirteen points clear of their nearest rivals Chicago Blackhawks (85 points). Indeed, this is a banner season so far for the Capitals. So it’s with some surprise that they are trading as the road underdogs to Boston Bruins on the NHL odds board today. What’s even more interesting is that after opening on +105 NHL odds, they’ve been bet up to a high of +116 at Heritage. Granted the Boston Bruins strike a convincing pose on the season too: they are 36-23-6 overall with 78 points and looking to be a shoe in for the playoffs, but at home they are a less than stellar 15-16-3 on the season, which must give the Capitals a measure of optimism to get back into the win column. The Bruins did beat the Blackhawks 4-2 at home on Thursday, improving to 3-1 SU in their last four home games, which might be why they are being favored over the Capitals, but it’s worth mentioning that they’ve lost both prior meetings with the Capitals this season – 4-1 in Washington and 3-2 in Boston. As it is, this game could go either way. However, considering the quality and momentum the Capitals are enjoying this season, they are a steal at +116 NHL odds to win outright. How can you not tickle those NHL odds on your NHL picks?

Florida vs. Arizona
Florida Panthers have suffered a slight dip in form of late. Ringing in with a 4-4-2 mark in their last ten games and coming off a 3-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, the Panthers will be desperate to  get back into the win column when they take on the Arizona Coyotes tonight. Interestingly enough, the market is behind the Panthers. They are matched as the road favorites, anywhere from -140 to -145 depending on the choice sports betting shop. It does seem a touch optimistic considering their recent spate of poor results, but, then again, Arizona have totally lost the plot. The hosts are riding an awful seven-game losing streak ahead of this clash and boast a 2-8 SU mark in their last ten games. Most recently, they were laid to waste by the Anaheim Ducks in a 5-1 loss at home. By all accounts, this is a game the Panthers really should win and that makes them the logical NHL pick at their decent -140 NHL odds in money line markets.

Vancouver vs. San Jose
The Vancouver Canucks just can’t seem to buy a win no matter how hard they try, particularly against the San Jose Sharks, a side they’ve seen twice already in the last six days and have nothing to show for it. On Sunday, they lost to the Sharks 4-1 at the Rogers Arena. On Thursday, they lost 3-2 to the Sharks at Rogers Arena. To say the Canucks can’t wait to see the back of the Sharks would be an understatement. Perhaps, a change in Arenas will be the charm for the Canucks?

They are set to take on the Sharks in San Jose tonight, looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Overall, they are a subpar 24-27-12 on the season, which includes a woeful 3-7-0 mark in their last ten games. Predictably, the NHL odds are stacked against the Canucks as they descend on the Sharks as the whopping +212 underdogs at Pinnacle. Losing streaks inevitable end, the Law of Averages says so. However, the Sharks are riding a three-game winning streak into this game, which includes two rather convincing wins over the Canucks. It’s really their game to win or lose and we’re not about to bank against them on our NHL picks on mere supposition and elusive ifs and maybes.
