Huge Game 4 Win for the Bruins
The Bruins were staring at a 3-1 deficit in this series as Game 4 went to overtime tied at 0-0. However, Boston escaped with a win, and tied the series at 2-2 following a sudden death goal by Matt Fraser just 1:19 into the 1st overtime period. Tuukka Rask was brilliant in goal for the Bruins stopping all 33 Montreal shots to earn his 2nd shutout of the postseason. The win recaptured home ice advantage for the Bruins. Boston is an excellent 41-14 in their previous 55 home games, although they're just 3-2 at the TD Garden in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Back to Square One for Montreal
The Canadians squandered an excellent opportunity to seize total control of this series, following a heartbreaking loss to the Bruins at home on Thursday night. However, it's no time to sulk with this series now reduced to a best of 3-games. After all, Montreal enters Game 5 in Boston knowing they've won 5 of the last 6 at the TD Garden. The Canadians have also been a rock solid 26-19 on the road this season, including 3-1 during the playoffs. Carey Price was once again terrific in goal for Montreal in Game 4 stopping 34 of 35 Boston shots on net. Montreal has gone a very profitable 14-4 this season following a home loss.
