The Bruins offense has looked completley different since the firing of Julien but in order to find success tonight, their game against the Ducks must be defensive oriented. Here's your NHL pick.

In the words of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, we "finally" returned to the win column last night with a plus money winner as Matt Murray allowed just one goal and Cam Ward was good enough to cash our bet.

Tonight we look at another plus money 'total' at the Honda Center where the Boston Bruins look to continue their resurgence against the Anahiem Ducks.  The best number out there can be found at The Greek who is offering a generous +115 on a game that will easily get under the total.  Even though the best number is at The Greek now please continue to shop for the best lines available at all SBR approved sportsbooks found here.

Betting opened with the 'total' of 5 shaded to the over -131.  Over 55% of the bets have come in on the 'under' but the number has gone the other way as its returning +115 right now, to our benefit.

The Bruins continue their four game Western road trip in an effort crawl into the playoffs.  I use the term crawl because at this time the Bruins sit in a virtual tie with the Islanders and Panthers for the last wild card spot in the East.

Bruins Head Coach, Bruce Cassidy, seems to be putting more of an emphasis on his defensive pairings rather than putting as many shots on net and hoping for put backs.  That's not Bruins hockey.  Boston offensive hockey has always come from solid defensive play first, creating turnovers, and then jumping up in transition.  I have never liked seeing the B's leading the league in shots on goal because a lot of shots means you better be good in transistion, which is not a Bruins strong suit.

It's reasonable to think that Boston will be even better now that they've had time to work on tightning up defensive assignments with three quick paced practices during their mandatory bye week. Practices are difficult to come by in the regular season so this time is a valuable asset.

For the Ducks they have always been a strong defensive team but I think there has been a renewed interest in being focused on their two way game.  Even Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf have been much better in both ends of the rink.

This game is going 'under' as we start a brand new winning streak.
