Do you want to know what the best NHL betting value and money management system to utilize in tonight’s game between Washington/Chicago? Then read this revealing article pertaining to this contest by our expert NHL capper.

Capitals at United Center
The Blackhawks will host the Capitals tonight at the United Center in Chicago with a scheduled start time of 8:35 PM ET. According to the NHL odds at Pinnacle, Chicago is a -184 money line favorite, and the posted total is 5.5. The NHL puck line shows Chicago at -1.5 (+158) and Washington +1.5 (-175). The teams split the 2-games played against each other last season with the each of these clubs winning on home ice.

The Flood Gates Left Open by the Caps
The Washington Capitals enter tonight having lost their last 5-games in a row. Each one of those 5-games went over the total, and with an average of 7.2 goals combined being scored. The Capitals were a major contributor to those high scoring games with their shoddy defensive play, and terrible goaltending. They allowed 4 or more goals in all 5-games, and they also scored an average of 3-goals per contest. Braden Holtby is listed as tonight’s probable starter in goal. Holtby has started 9-games this season and compiled a subpar .891 save percentage. The Capitals power play has been terrific by converting on an excellent 29.3% of their chances. They’re on pace to score a whopping 82 power play goals this season, although it’s highly unlikely they’ll be able keep up at this current conversion rate.

A long Overdue Blowout Win
The Chicago Blackhawks come off a 5-0 demolition of the Canadiens in Montreal on Tuesday. They finally were rewarded for the sustained offensive pressure they’ve applied on their opponents since the season began. Even though they only have a 7-6 money line record, Chicago is averaging a robust 37.9 shots on goal per game, and as I alluded to on Tuesday’s video, all 6 of their losses have been by 1-goal.  It was just a matter of time before the Blackhawks took out their frustrations on an opponent, and the Montreal Canadiens were in the wrong place, and certainly at the wrong time.

Money Line Betting System
Any home team (Chicago) that comes off a win by 5-goals or more, versus an opponent which has allowed 3-goals or more in each of their previous 4-games, has gone 29-5 (85.3%) against the money line since 1996.

Money Management Strategy for a Big Chalk
This money line betting system overwhelmingly favors the Chicago Blackhawks in this situation today. I never like to wager on a money line home favorite of more than -150. However, there’s an exception to every rule. Here’s my money management suggestion for your NHL picks in this game. Risk the amount you would normally wager to win. For example, if you usually bet is to win $200 on a money line favorite, instead of betting $368 to win $200 on Chicago, risk $200 to make $108. The other suggestion is to play the Blackhawks -1.5 (+158) on the puck-line. By risking $200 on the puck-line with the Blackhawks, you would make a profit of $316 with a Chicago win by 2-goals or more. Just keep in mind, you also are taking a chance that a 1-goal Chicago win would be a losing wager, if indeed you choose to go with the latter type of wager.
