Another Original Six Classic
The Canadians will host the Bruins at the Belle Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with the opening face-off slated for 7:35 PM ET. This will be Game 6 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal Series in which the Bruins lead 3-2. According to NHL betting odds Boston is a -125 money line road favorite, and the posted total is 5.0. These teams have seen just 1 of their last 6 meetings in Montreal stay under the total. The Canadians are 3-1 at home, and the Bruins are 3-1 on the road during the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Tuukka Rask to the Rescue
Looking back at my preview article of Game 4 in this series, I indicated in not so many words that Tuukka Rask had to play up to his standards if the Bruins were to come back, and win this series. At that point Boston was down 2-1 in the series, was on the road for Game 4, and Rask had been less than stellar in the first 3-games. Rask certainly has responded since. He's allowed just 2-goals, stopped 62 of 64 shots on net, and earned a shutout in the last 2-games. As a result the Bruins have a lead in the series for the first time, and have the Canadians on the brink of elimination.

Canadians in Rebounding Mode
The Canadians had the Bruins on the ropes in this series, and they've at least temporarily let them off the hook. Montreal held a 2-1 series lead heading into Game 4 at home, and then suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 overtime loss that allowed Boston to even the series. Then, in Game 5 at the TD Garden in Boston they overwhelmed by the Bruins in a 4-2 loss. The score wasn't indicative of how one sided the game was. The Bruins jumped out to leads of 3-0 and 4-1, before Montreal struck late in the 3rd period which made the final score look respectable.

Final Analysis
The Bruins have been a solid 'over' play on the road all year. They've gone 'under' the total in just 9 of 45 road games this season, and have gone 'over' the total in 11 of 14 away tilts when facing a division opponent. The Canadians have gone 8-2 in their last 10 following a game in which they scored 2-goals or less. Montreal has seen just 1 of their previous 10-games stay 'under' the total.
