Road Warriors Once Again

After going through a prolonged stretch where they struggled in away games, the Hawks have resolved that issue on this current road trip. Tonight will be the Hawks 6th consecutive game on the road. They’ve earned at least 1-point in each of the previous 5, including winning the last 2. In their previous game the Hawks came up with a huge 2-0 win over the Anaheim Ducks. Corey Crawford was terrific in goal stopping all 29 Anaheim shots on net, and earned his 1st shutout of the season. The win closed Chicago to within 1-point of Anaheim for 1st overall in the Western Conference. Chicago also continues to cling to a 2-point lead over St. Louis for the top spot in the Central Division. Tonight will be the Hawks final game before the Olympic break.

Wiley Coyotes

Tonight will be the 5th and final game of a 5-game in 12-day home stand for the Coyotes. They’re just 2-2 thus far after coming off a 3-1 loss to Dallas on Tuesday. Phoenix has also seen the first 4-games of the home stand all go under the total. Following tonight the Coyotes will travel to Dallas to take on the Stars tomorrow, and it will be their final game prior to the Olympic break. The Coyotes enter tonight having gone 8-17 in their last 25-games versus the money line. Phoenix is currently 5th in the Pacific Division, and tied for 9th overall in the Western Conference.
